What we want
Reporting to the Executive Chef or Sous Chef, the Kitchen Steward main objective is to keep the kitchens clean while performing dishwashing duties. He/she is responsible for washing dishes (utensils, glasses, pots, etc.) and must also perform housekeeping tasks such as washing floors, ovens, hoods, etc. The dishwasher also provides strong support to the cooks and may, on occasion, assist in the preparation of certain recipes and set-ups.
What you will do
- Wash dishes, glasses and utensils by hand or in a dishwasher;
- Scrub pots and pans;
- Polish utensils and glassware;
- Clean refrigerators, ovens and kitchen equipment;
- Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen (floors, equipment, material);
- Empty garbage cans and transport garbage to containers;
- Putting away dishes in an orderly and safe manner in the appropriate places;
- Perform all other related tasks.
